The dreamer in me believes that this is going to be the destination where PLD shines. The realist in me sees this not ending well. I guess it's a swing for the fences, that's for sure.

LA lost the PLD trade the day it was made with Winnipeg... now we have a #1 goalie (which was the biggest hole) without PLD's albatross contract on the books for 200 years. its a win win for LA considering the position
a number one goalie? in what world?

"A #1 goalie"

Might want to check on how Kuemper did last year.

You can't ignore the sunk cost of what they paid for Dubois a year ago in this deal. Washington lost the deal for taking on PLD's deal without getting anything of value for it, but LA is still an absolute loser in this deal for basically turning what they paid for last year into Kuemper.

he had a bad year last year, that doesnt make him a bad goalie. have you seen what we've had in net the last few seasons? we got rid of PLD ,plugged a hole AND opened up cap space. you'd have to be insane to not see that LA benefits from this

Kuemper is a worse goalie than the Kings had last year and he's making much more money.

Yes, purely in a vacuum, turning PLD's deal into Kuemper's deal is a "win" for LA. But considering what they paid a year ago for PLD and how they put themselves in this situation by handing him that deal last off-season, they are still an absolute loser in this.

That's a wild trade.
I wonder how LA fans feel about Rob Blake now, still want to get him fired or already planning a statue outside Staples? :naughty:
