Yeah that's how I remembered it. And then a year later, Holly returns to feud with Lesnar. We were supposed to believe that Holly was 1) the babyface and 2) a championship contender.Yep. I believe he sandbagged Brock and paid for it

What was this about? I read Bret's book 15 years ago.But the chapter on how Bret and Anvil sold the pink tights showed that he has a wicked sense of human that you only see once in a blue moon.
Vince definitely has some kind of incest fetish going on. They did the incest gimmick with Paul Burchill and Katie Lea. And I vaguely remember around 1999, one of the Head Bangers changed his gimmick to Beaver Cleavage. And there was some kind of mom son incest story there. When they put on the pink tights, held hands and skipped through the backstage area because at that point, nobody wore Pink, it was either black or white.
Vince got one look at it, burst out laughing and told them to go with it.
With Vince after the Ruthless agression era he would have had a marriage ceremony between Bret and Anvil, followed up with Anvil cheating on Bret with Nattie.

And then it soon turned into a domestic violence storyline. What a weird time.I'll never understand how Beaver Cleavage didn't get over.
Imagine being a fly on the wall back in the day in creative meetings with McMahon, Russo and Pitchard? Talk about gross.
Perhaps The Death of WCW as a sort of what not to do business tale.Any recommendations for books that get more into the business and financial side of things? I’m like most in that the best three books I’ve read are Bret Hart’s, Jericho’s first book and Foley’s first book. I’d like to hear more from guys who travelled with the WWE in the mid to late 80’s who were doing like 300 shows a year. The problem is most of them are dead from the lifestyle. I think Ventura and Greg Valentine would be good reads.
I read his second one only. It was good. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I don't remember the specifics but you could tell he's a guy that just got insulted by McMahon but never stood up for himself. McMahon seemed to have walked all over him for years. What’s the verdict on Jim Ross’ books?
Geez I see it's like 1400 on amazon, why so much?The best books on this subject that I’ve read;
Heenans first book is a must read. Too many great stories and there’s too many laughs. They should make a movie out of it. I reads like a naked gun movie.
Ole Andersons “inside out”. If you want to know how to run a wrestling territory, start here. Nothing else like it.
Gary Harts book is impossible to find but worth listening to as it was uploaded in audio form on YouTube. I paid 100 bucks for the actual book and sold it for 3k.
Lou Thesz book “Hooker” is a period piece and shows this business was filled with scumbags from the beginning.
Not reading no book Jericho wrote and found Foleys book to be warm garbage. Bret Harts book is the diary of a narcissist.
Because, as legend, it was really, really limited. It wasn’t in stores outside of Texas and was pretty much only available thru a website.Geez I see it's like 1400 on amazon, why so much?
The book my uncle sold for a dollar at a garage saleBecause, as legend, it was really, really limited. It wasn’t in stores outside of Texas and was pretty much only available thru a website.
It’s not worth whatever god awful amount it’s valued at, but the stories are great. I think it’s been uploaded onto the internet along with the Hart wife book that was pulled outta circulation that’s still in book stores if you look hard enough ( Altho I think all the bogus stuff has been edited out)
I do know a few years ago the IWC was goating Harts book which was mostly guys who had a copy and we’re trying to get top dollar for it. I know one person who paid five grand for it and that’s when I sold mine. He’s goes into detail about the Von Erich boys and Gino Hernandez and tells alot of stuff never told about them.
If you're talking about Diana Hart's book, I bought it from someone on Facebook marketplace for about $40. I'm not sure if it's the edited version but there was a lot of things she said that was clearly bullshit. You could just tell.Because, as legend, it was really, really limited. Well, the unedited version is pornographic in it’s SA detail and it’s really bad. There’s a file online that’s been passed around for years. If you're talking about Diana Hart's book, I bought it from someone on Facebook marketplace for about $40. Most I ever spent on a book was Martha Hart's book. Bought it from some UK website for like $60. Really good book.
I vaguely remember her talking about Davey Boy sexually assaulting her but don't remember how detailed it was. I have no recollection of the dog viagra thing and that seems like something I would remember. So I'm thinking I got the edited version. But I read it over a year ago. I don't remember specific stories but I do remember thinking it was one of the most ridiculous book I've ever read. Same as Sunny and Vince Russo's books.Well, the unedited version is pornographic in it’s SA detail and it’s really bad. There’s a file online that’s been passed around for years.
I know the book was pulled in Canada but wasn’t as big a deal in the states. Barnes and Nobels was carrying the book well past the controversy.
From what I remember it really wasn’t a wrestling book, more a book of dirt about wrestlers committing SA and drug abuse.
I think this was the book where they went into great detail about Bulldog injecting liquid viagra into his little bulldog and being so impressed with the result he would drop his pants and show anybody who asked if it worked.
