They called it bench minor roughing on the ice when they announced it. Holding the stick isn't roughing.

That hit by Z was clean and you have McDavid whining as usual to the refs

The initial hit by Z was clean. But then Z goes further, Grabbing Kane by the legs to fully slam him down on the bench and not letting him get up, is an easy penalty.

The bench pushing Z in this circumstance and getting a penalty is a stretch.
