GDT: WPG @ NYR Part II

Well, this team has somehow gotten my hopes up. Rangers are tied going into the 3rd? They stand a chance?

....Nope April fools. Prove me wrong Rangers. Please.

Lol how can you say they have deserved less given that they have had no time to show if they deserve more today?

Kreider has had like 4-5 shifts and he actually was skating and active despite playing with useless offensive players. Boyle has had over 7 minutes non-shorthanded which he has used to generate nothing. Kreider also actually shoots the puck.

Read up.

Due to recent complaints, we’ve discussed and decided to take some action against the decreasing quality of GDT discussion. We are going to start cracking down on useless, borderline trolling posts that generally consist of nothing more than “Clownorella, Fire Torts, etc.†over and over and over again. It’s extremely grating and offers nothing insightful to the game itself. Criticizing a certain aspect of the game is always welcome, but heaping on incessant, unfunny posts serve as nothing more than a detriment to the GDT. Now, I know that it is essentially a Play-by-play thread and every post shouldn’t be expected to be a tediously written analysis of the game, but we ask you to please curb discussions that do not pertain to the game itself. Torts has his own thread, Gaborik has his own thread. Nearly everything has its own corresponding thread. The GDT is meant for discussion of the game and everything relevant to that particular game.

Boyle's had a solid game today. He's earned his time. It's a sad fact, but he is exponentially more active and more assertive than Kreider.

He's done zero offensively as always. Or I should say he had one chance on the rebound of that break in I believe. Other than that same old can't control the puck, no shot

Yet Kreider has done the same.

Since Boyle is actually useful in the defensive and neutral zone, he will get more time.

Rangers are a appr. 1000 % more efficient with one man less on the ice, at least for as long as Zuke has been back. Maybe he sees that.

Great game so far, much thanks to Zucc...and Hank for saving his butt.

Seriously, Zucc needs to calm down a little.

It's difficult to argue Boyle has played twice as well as Kreider, but he has twice as much TOI (adjusted for PK). This is the issue people have.

At what point does a player need to earn his ice time?

We all used to ***** about players getting unearned time and not being accountable. Kreider has done nothing but float around and play with his head up his ass except for one single game this seaseEson (his first game after the call-up). At what point is this on the player and not on the coach?

It's hard to blame this on Torts since Kreider was doing the same **** in the AHL.

I thought he played well in the first, even had a nice defensive play to break up a scoring chance. Plus I would rather have kreider in front kg the goal screening onthe pp instead of Boyle

Man no more posting from my phone. Too slow. Lol.

Moving downstairs (away from the computer) for the rest of the game. We scored both goals while I down there, once finishing up homework and once eating, and I'm superstitious. MY posting will be spotty at best. I fare the well.

He's always going to skate well. It's his best asset. He has yet to do anything else well this season.

From my assessment (could be wrong) he did as much as I could realistically expect him to do in the ice time he had, and looked dynamic enough that I wanted to see more. But that's just me.
