Winnipeg gets their LHD of similar age and ability to Trouba
Anahiem recieves a big left winger for their top six who earns a little more than Fowler
New York obtains a good young RHD in Trouba who helps to solidify and add depth to their blueline.

This is solely a hockey trade, trading from each team's position to strength to their position of weakness. I understand the salary may not work for the ducks, but Kreider is a perfect fit for their top line.

I feel like a pick might be needed going to the Ducks from the Rangers. Thoughts?

IMO Trouba for Lindholm is perfect value for both sides, other than for the ducks' salary limitation. Trouba will make more on his new contract than Lindholm's last year of his ELC.

The Rangers add a first in that case to the Ducks with wpg adding a third to the Rangers perhaps?

I think that's better honestly

Edit: didn't realize Lindholm was an RFA RIGH now too. So he may be making more than Trouba as well.

Bad trade for Jets who get screwed, no way we trade Trouba for Fowler. Easy pass from Jets

Jets' needs I belive is a LD, so the idea actually isn't bad, but NYR needs to add a 1st going to WPG

I wouldn't give up 4 years of Trouba for 8 years of Fowler. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Fowler but he is overrated and nowhere close to worth Trouba.

Jets need LD. I'll grant that Lindholm is better than Trouba but not by a lot. RHD are worth a premium that almost equals the difference. If we add a 3rd to Trouba for Lindholm Anaheim wins. Both are unsigned RFAs.

I believe Trouna is going to paint the Jets into a corner where they will not get equal value. I think Trouba doesn't see the opportunity to reach his potential in Winnipeg based on usage and the signing of Buff.

Try looking at it from Trouba's viewpoint and not as a fan. Why would he want to play the left side and get 2nd or 3rd line PP time behind Buff for two or three years?

Trouba's shot differentials are far superior than Fowler's. Even Trouba's weak shot suppression is better than Fowler's.

I'ts pretty obvious to those of us without homer glasses on that this is the order. If Trouba is going to NYR, they add a 1st going to WPG. If Myers is going to NYR, WPG sends them a 2nd

I understand that you are trying to gauge value, but the Jets would have little interest in moving a roster piece like Trouba in exchange for a downgrade and futures.

Futures mean little to a team with a pipeline that is already fully stacked. The Jets also already have a similar-type of player to Fowler named Josh Morrissey that is available in-house and ready to graduate. They'd have zero interest in the theoretical value here. They really don't have a need to move either Trouba or Myers for Fowler in other words.

We need not stop overrating Kreider. He's valuable but he's not a 1st line player. And a young RHD with potential is the Rangers' biggest need.
