You could probably focus in even more to eras when LQ was at an all-time low, like during WWII or in the mid-70's.

So, maybe someone like Murray Anderson who played 40 games for the expansion Washington Capitols (one of the all-time worst teams) and managed 1 point and a -40.

Or perhaps someone from the dismal, 1943-44 Rangers, who only managed 5 wins? I'm probably doing the boy dirty by singling him out, but Lloyd Mohns would be typical. His NHL career consisted of the 1 game that season. His minor league stats look rather lackluster too. Oddly, he might be a relative of Doug Mohns, who wasn't bad, but went -54 in his final NHL season with the expansion Capitols.

Both those guys defencemen, though, which probably makes their numbers look worse.

I feel like theres a sort of asymmetry to having a beer league equivalent EBUG come in vs if you had a different position filled with a replacement player from your beer league.

If an average NHL team has their goalie replaced by your beer league goalie but the skaters stay the same, theyll probably lose maybe 4-2, maybe on a good night they'll even win if things go well. Teams at all levels of hockey experience covering for emergency goaltenders and they know how to collapse and play as passively as possible to cover up for a goalie in over his head.

If that team keeps their NHL goaltender and defencemen, but has to roll 12 forwards from your beer league team, they'll probably lose something like 5-1, maybe a little better or a little worse. You're very unlikely to get any goals with the beer league crew, and the lack of proper defensive positioning will eventually cost you.

If that team keeps the NHL goalie and forwards, but has to play 6 beer leaguers as their defensive pairings, theyre literally going to lose 20-0 and spend 3/4 of the night in their own zone.
 
In my book the worst player in the nhl would be a guy who’s ended another player’s career. So pick your favorite.

Matt Cooke, Todd Bertuzzi, etc.

I just want to say how annoying it is that this guy has a voice and BarStoolSports ostensibly pays him money (I hope it's very little). He's not even funny. He's just really weird looking and awkward and makes hot takes. I guess it's cringe-humor? But I have not at any point enjoyed his takes, and I'm a Devils fan. This is one awful one too, Dowling has been fine as a lineup fill-in although I'd rather he not play any playoff games.

Also Frank the Tank is such a lazy nickname.
