Nurmi with a nice snipe, 2-0 for Finland in the first.
QFTCanada v Czech will be a good game tonight. Will be better than the slop the isles will treat us with.
The game thread on the main board sounds like President Kennedy being assassinated.I find the sense of entitlement by Canadian media and fans to be astonishing. As if they should be anointed the gold medal.
Welcome to fans of team Canada in every tournament. The “my C Team would wreck your A team” attitude has been old for years.I find the sense of entitlement by Canadian media and fans to be astonishing. As if they should be anointed the gold medal.

Buium would be 1 of their prospects I’d target in a potential Nelson trade to MinnesotaThoughts from the game (I watched the first two periods):
- Eiserman had very little ice time at even strength after the elbowing penalty. Yes, he was held and that went uncalled. Shoving your arm in the defenders face because you're pissed about not getting the call is not the correct response. He is a bit immature. That is what it is, I was a jerk when I was 18, too. But I was more sneaky.
- Nelson plays a very simple game. Had at least two other really good looks. His size makes him look as if he's moving slower than he is. The few times Swiss players challenged him in the neutral zone or in the corner, I suspect they regretted it. He was more excited to celebrate Moore's setup than his goal. If his nickname isn't Moose, it should be.
- I hate to say it, but Perreault is a great combo of being good all around, and an excellent passer. Watched him constantly scanning the ice, keeping track of everyone. His IQ is obvious.
- For all the accolades Hutson has gotten, Buium looks considerably more mature, and is much better in his own zone. Hutson is flashy, but a little scary.
- Hagens looks like a headier, but not quite as explosive, version of Jack Hughes.
