Not many could likely say they have a friend(s) from Latvia. Don't often meet too many people that choose to settle in North America but as you prove they are out there.

Latvia has chosen to employ a few former high caliber coaches, some with NHL experience, in recent years to help develop their program. Evidence of it starting to pay off for them with much more competitive teams in recent world events.

Their fans are legendary for the enthusiastic support of all Latvian national teams. They quickly become the darlings of host cities that they visit. Often will set up shop for the entire tournament in a local bar or restaurant in full Latvian hockey attire. Just a fun group who enjoy every minute of the experience.

Adjusting to what the international on ice officials will call as a penalty is different than most NA players are used to. No making that adjustment can get a team into trouble in a hurry.

I disagree. I've never been a fan of Kale Clague's game. To me, he's the one guy that doesn't belong here

And I'm intreagued by Myers. Can't comment on his game, but how does a 6'5 giant of a defenseman go from undrafted to top pair at World Juniors in an 18 month span? I'm very interested to see for myself.
