Agreed, wish this was played indoors. This game is hard to watch but is a good game.
Agreed. The weather was way too bad to play a hockey game. The conditions took a lot of the speed and skill away from 2 of the more exciting and fast teams here. Not to meantion they're lucky nobody got hurt. Players were falling all over the place. This outdoor game was a mistake. There's no flow to the game.
Nothing says 'champions' like a Buffalo Bills inspired jerseyThe Buffalo Bills inspired USA jerseys are awful.
Hajek has been the best defenseman for the Czechs in all their games. Plays in all situations, rarely makes a mistake. Having a very good tournament so far.Anyone watched the Czech - Belarus game? Hajek with a goal and an assist but how did he look otherwise?

Great to hear, he's having a phenomenal year
Geez where are we going to put this guy?
AHL.
Give him a year in the AHL, let him get used to the speed of the pro's. If he is exceeds there then make room.
There are currently a total of 12 prospects in juniors and Syracuse who have played in the WJC-20 (didn’t count Bournival and McBain as prospects). The Lightning roster has 13 former WJC-20 players. The prospect pool depth is the best TBL has ever had, and has to be one of the best current pools in the league… just wish we had one or two elite prospects.
Was a tongue in cheek comment. We've had a ridiculous number of D prospects improve their stock this year and Masin-Cernak are already cordially knocking on the door.
Agreed. I guess I shouldn’t complain, especially when you compare the current Chicago Model (elites but no depth) versus the Vegas Model (lots of depth no elites). Seems like the Yzerman Model is finding the happy middle ground between those two.We don't need elite prospects really. We have an elite goalie (Vasilevskiy), 1 elite D (Hedman) 1 potential (Sergachev), 2 elite forwards (Stamkos and Kucherov) 1 potential (Point). Too many elite players just causes even more cap problems then we might already have. We just need solid contributors and upgrades on our weak links.
We actually don't know what Vegas' model is yet. The expectation was that Fleury would steal them some games, they'd trade Neal at the deadline, and they'd turn the extra D into prospects/picks. Turns out they could win games.Agreed. I guess I shouldn’t complain, especially when you compare the current Chicago Model (elites but no depth) versus the Vegas Model (lots of depth no elites).
