Dvorsky playing with more intensity in this one. Good to see. Would love to see him take this game over. Probably Slovakia's only chance.

I think Dvorsky shot a puck through the hole in a Finn player's skate. Has to be an optical illusion though

He deliberately shot the puck at the Finn defenceman's skate to bank it into the net by The Finn goalie. Brilliant play. But the goalie made a great save on it. Yes, he's more intense in this game, playing more physical.

I stand by the assessment that if 15 wasn't on this Slovakia team they would be worse than Kazakhstan. This is going to get ugly. Can only hope 18 and 15 put up some points, because they surely aren't going to get a save, and the bottom half of the lineup can't make any sort of plays to try and create offense or prevent Finland from creating offense.
The Slovaks have been hugely disappointing all tournament. Strbak has had rough tourney. Dvo and Pekarcik are only guys who can create anything.

Slovakia is simply overmatched. Dvorsky’s goal was to get Slovakia past the QF but I don’t see it happening. Their D and goaltending and well, also the offense beyond him and Pekarcik is just bad.

They've had a lot of trouble just keeping the puck on their sticks and completing passes. They have it taken away inside their own zone, or in The Neutral Zone most times. When they DO get the puck into The O-Zone, it's usually on the dump-in, and they lose possession. They can't seem to even START to set up offence, let alone sustain any possession in The O-Zone. Might even be shut out. Pity for Dvorsky and Pekarcik getting any valuable experience.
Funny enough, 2nd Period starts, and both Dvorsky and Pekarcik get shots off.
But quickly, Finland scores again, and it's 4-0.

Dvorsky has to play Defence, too, because The Slovak defencemen aren't ever in position.
