Canada 66%
USA 9%
Sweden 7%
North America 5% ( lacks some experience)
Russia 5% (tactics not good enough for small ice)
Finland 3% (can beat any team, but roster to weak to go all the way, and Sweden has more sisu :) )
Czechs 3% (lacks tactics for small ice)
Europe 2% (if they come together as a group they can win over any team)

Sweden lacks sisu, Finland has tonnes of it. :)

Without the U-23 NA team I would put USAs odds at winning at about 25%. As it stands, they have about a 10% chance. Sweden, U-23 NA, and Russia are just as good or better and Canada is the odds on favorite.

Canada: 50%
USA: 10%
Sweden: 10%
NA: 10%
Russia: 10%
Finland: 7%
Czech: 2%
Europe: 1%

No way Team Europe wins this tournament, I can almost guarantee a team from North America(70%) wins this.

This 100% a NHL tournament that means there is like 99% chance that a NA team will win.

Canada 80%
USA 10%
NA 9%
The rest 1%

Finland has Korpikoski on it's roster. How many different incarnations of team Canada would you need until a player of his caliber made the team. 100?

I am a big fan of Finland hockey but they need a hot goalie to have a sniff. It's one of CAN, USA, NA.

Not that I expect Finland to have good chances to win, but Finland always performs much better than the roster would indicate. The coaching is just so good. I'm always a bit amused when people say that something like the Canadian D team would dominate international competitions, but it's not just about the individual names.

Do people really think like that or is this a snark?

I'd agree honestly. Allthough I think it's more like 95% Canada, 3% US and 2% Team NA.

Euro teams extremely rarely if ever manage to win on small ice. Using NHL rules and small ice will be a big hurdle for teams bringing players from other leagues

Dont get the russia love on here. Id like to see Ovi do well but they dont have a goalie or a good enough def.

Usa 5%

Rest are just participating
