Here's my percentages for each team. Probability of winning.

Canada 40%
Russia 13%
Sweden 13%
USA 13%
North America 10%
Finland 7%
Czechs 3%
Europe 1%

Does it seem fair, or am I over/undervaluing some team(s)?

edit: I can't count.

I think its much more wide open than people are predicting. Anyone can potentially beat Canada in 1 game (semis)...All you need is lights out goaltending and a few lucky bounces.

Finland has Korpikoski on it's roster. How many different incarnations of team Canada would you need until a player of his caliber made the team. 100?

I am a big fan of Finland hockey but they need a hot goalie to have a sniff. It's one of CAN, USA, NA.

Bronze (is there even a bronze medal game?):

Finland: 99%
Rest: < 1%

Silver:

Sweden: 33%
USA: 33%
Russia: 32%
U23: 1%

Gold:

Canada: 100%

After Canada i see Sweden and the United States. Team NA is just too inexperienced, their team defence is too weak. They will get destroyed by the good teams. Russia has no defence and the rest have almost no talent.

I like how Sweden is suddenly a longshot!

Here's hoping for semis between Finland, Sweden, Europe & Czechs.:D
