To be fair all three are top 10 goalies in the league and the distinction often comes down to style when they are all so close.

Schneider is also historically awful in shootouts. One of the worst all time.

But yes, I was very frustrated with some USA choices. Especially leaving out Kessel and anyone other than the Johnsons.

So far, it looks like the teams are playing above an All-Star game caring level. Looks like they really want to compete and play to win. You know, like it's a real competitive game.

So, I think all the comments about "not trying" and "players won't care about this" will die down soon.

These teams were chosen months ago. The Team USA choices were questionable at best at that time.

He's been by far their worst D. It's one game, but not impressed.

This is something I just don't agree with. He's been fine from what I've seen. I'm interested in seeing what the stat sheet says after the game. To me, he's done what he always does. Quick to retrieve the puck in his own end, and move it out.

He's also playing on his off-side, which is a hindrance, but he should be able to fight through it.

Eh. He's been out of position multiple times in the D zone and he's given up the puck a few times in the neutral zone. In addition to at least one bad pinch that led to a 2-on-1.

CZE has been down the whole game. He's trying to force play up the ice. I don't hate it

I'm not saying he's been great. I'm just saying I wouldn't call him the worst defenseman on the ice for CZE.

Tawnos - I wonder if a lot of Nakladal's play sticks out to you more than other CZE d-men since he led the team in TOI? 23:49.

Here we go:

i saw some bits and pieces of him--he doesn't look that special to me. That chart kind of confirms it--he's a run of the mill defenseman, guy shouldn't be seeing anything more than #5 minutes, maybe #3-4 in a pinch.

at 28 years old, I don't think there is much more room for him to go.
