I'm guessing this isn't normal for Aho? Can't seem to make a tape-to-tape pass, makes bad decisions on the point, weak shot, etc. By far the most disappointing player for me.

I think Anton Karlsson might've played his way out of the first round.

I really like Forsling and Lagesson though. Still not buying the Pettersson hype, he's not a top3 D on this team.

Well earned win by usa, they play with speed and have a tight defense.
And swedish juniors once again playing sloppy and nonchalant. Feels like their there just for the fun of it and not to represent their country...

I think in the third period the Nylander vs. Eichel watch tipped to the side of Eichel. While Nylander was super effective in bringing the game to the US zone, even he was more able to make his playmaking and spins from the outside the US defensive box. Whereas at times you didn't really pay attention to Eichel but all of a sudden he was just there is with a lethal play near the net. Both were great, though, and of course you have to take into account the huge minutes Nylander had to play.

A well-deserved win for the US overall, from the second half of the second period onwards in particular.

Eichel looked much better than Nylander in this game imo, just like expected though, considering their current draft rankings.
Really? I thought Nylander was better the first half of the game. The whole swedish game plan seemed to center around getting Nylander the puck. That gets predictible.

I was (once again) impressed by the US team. They have really good players that can skate and make teams pay for turning the puck over in the wrong places. One bad pass in the Swedish zone turned into heavy US pressure. Everything looks so coordinated compared to other teams, all the way from their D to the forwards.
