Have the oilers played good hockey since the All Star break ? Not counting the odd 3rd period.

They played great against Vegas and lost a close game since then it's been meh.

This team just craters mentally when they face any sort of adversity. Teams lose and they need to figure out how to not let that affect them so badly.

lol don’t count me in that crowd. I don’t mind the player but he’s been useless for awhile

Perfect player to get salary out. It won’t hurt us at all
It happens so often on this board a third liner paces for like 40 pts playing shotgun with McDavid or Leon but does jack shit in the bottom siz and people are ready to throw away the kanes of this team.

Relax dude. Every team lays an egg sometimes
Some overreactions going on but the team has laid A LOT of eggs lately. The Vegas game is the one game. They haven't played a good game other than that one since.... Toronto in mid January?

From puck drop that period we got pumped. I’d blame 2 goals on Skinner still. But no way in hell that period is on him. Team got caved.

problem is that LA won tonight and need to win to catch Vegas.
So you blow up the core because they lose a game?
We've laid alot of eggs lately.

Too many for a team that is cup or bust.

It's the dog days of the season and the team has a ridiculous good record over the last 40 games. Sometimes good teams get blasted. I agree not good enough lately

f***ing garbage period. Our D keep allowing their forwards to cut through the crease unimpeded. Stupid penalties costing us as well. Binnington has been outstanding, showing us what a cup winning goalie looks like.
Maybe the players can try harder.

The day an Oilers coach has the balls to hold the stars even slightly accountable, will be the day the Oilers will be ready to win a Stanley Cup.

McDavid has been a floating spinning top in our zone for 2 periods. What happens? Award him with Drai as a linemate, and then puts him out on a PK where he looks lost and confused, almost scores on Skinner, shit clearing attempt, and then an Ill advised challenge to the point that opens a cross ice seem and sees him late getting back to collapse on the rebound.

You don't need to sit him in the press box. But sit him for a f***ing shift. Or demote him to the fourth line with Janmark and Brown. The excuse of "needing him out to get back into the game" that he dug us into is BS. One or two shifts won't make the difference in the second period.

They even looked pretty bad during the big win streak. Just got some good luck and good goaltending. Now we are regressing to what we really are (a fringe playoff team)

Disagree. Maybe towards the end a bit, but it was usually a bad period at most.

This team is playing lazy, entitled hockey once again.

No coach will fix them unless leadership continues to buy in. (And they get a 1B goalie that they can trust)
