Given the first round exit and the fact that neither appeared in the series after the first game (the latter due to injury) what do the Avalanche do next since both players have years remaining on their contracts?

I don’t think they’d need to do anything with Colton other than get him healthy.

Mercer for Colton plus is the type of deal I could see happening and I think it’s a mistake for NJ, both appear to not really be centers and Mercer has more runway.

I don’t see Colorado trading Colton just to trade him though, they’d also be trying to get a center upgrade like every other team in the league trying to get Colton.

Wouldn’t mind the wings being interested in Wood for their bottom 6. Big, fast, and has shown some ability to score. What would Avs be looking for
