Well that was something... Disapointing... but great tournament... though no need to whistle for USA...

Congrats USA fans, well deserved they were the better team. What a bitter way to lose for Finns, though, but what can you do.

I'm an American who takes huge pride in our women's teams because they play like hell and it's not for the money and they always go out and do us proud. That said, I've never felt worse about our country winning gold. I dont know if theres ever been a thrill of victory/agony of defeat moment close to this. I'm glad they won but I feel horrible for that Finnish team.

How much Trump paid for that?

Never seen bullshit like this In ice hockey. Nobody In Iihf cant even get answer for what that call was.

Us and A didnt win anything.

Finland made protest so nothing is over yet

Finland is making a protest.

Apparently no one can be reached from IIHF to explain what exactly was the reason for the no goal call.

lol like Trump would care about women.

What I think the call was is that there was a delayed penalty and the Rigsby had the puck in her glove. The puck was knocked out during the trip, but she had possession when the penalty was called. Therefore, it should have been blown dead. That would explain everything. Play would stop there, no GI penalty, there is a tripping penalty. That's the only explanation I can think of that makes sense

I am also USA through and through.

Finland was just screwed out of their Gold.

But the penalty was called for the goalie

2min penalty for United States
#33 RIGSBY Alex for Tripping (served by #25 CARPENTER Alex).

So how can the penalty be called when USA had no control over puck? Finnish player put it in goal while it was delayed penalty

You're telling me Finland went through Canada AND the US but the refs screwed it up? Good lord that would've been GIGANTIC for Women's Hockey, now there's still only two teams that have won anything.

I ll never watch a woman s hockey WHC again. This tournament belongs to the USA. The refs belongs to the USA.

It's women's ice hockey, there's nothing political happening.
You wouldn't believe. We had Parliamental election today. When Finland score on OT, they cut the election results program to show the game. Then the election commentators started commenting on the goal.

Sami Borg, election/hockey commentator called it a good goal.

That’s what I saw

If Riggsby got called for a trip, then it’s a delayed penalty. She was the first one to touch the puck (gave up a rebound), so play is dead.

And damn, this announcer dude on NHL Network is crazy butt hurt.
