Jiricek has been extremely impressive so far. Best player on the ice. Bedard has been the most dangerous, constantly creating dangerous chances.
Our D is on the rise and we have a nice new crop coming.. including guys 2 years away like another Jiricek, another Svozil, another Galvas... no joke.. there are 2 of each of those.lol Plus 2 Badinka's and one is very good on the back end. Dvoark and Koci in this next draft should be top 100. And Alscher was top 100 this most recent drafted and not added.Wow, I'm glad for Czechia in the long run.
From here you get at least 3-4 D's for your mens team in the future. With Jiricek and Svozil becoming great if staying healthy.
Kulich, Sale and a couple of other big bodied guys could also become something.
Add Necas, Pastrnak, perhaps Vrana and Hronek and some good goaltending and you will have a good team with the right coaching.
Gary Bettman would love him in Arizona.Bedard looks like Marner with Matthews shot.
I too, would tank for him.
Anywhere but Arizona please
Agree on Fantilli. At least Carlson showed some interesting signs. Bédard is alone # 1. Too bad not to see MICHKOV….Every single time I’ve seen Fantilli play he’s been anywhere from invisible at best to damaging to the team at his worst.
I really don’t see it with him .
He's already got a Bronze at the Senior worlds and has played 2 NHL games and has 20 points in 19 AHL games.. he's killing it. I honestly haven't noticed him enough tonight though.Jiricek has been best Czech so far. Only bigger problem I can point out is that he forces his shot too much at times but otherwise he looks like he will be an NHL player by next year.
JJ's a great guy and very knowledgeable. It’s like you’ve never watched a WJ game in your life.
nopeFantilli and Carlson are not in the same league as Bedard
Sorry, meant to say.. you're absolute right that the difference is that we have a good D core! That's the difference without a doubt.Germany back then and Austria this years are completely different levels. Germany had several seriously talented players in 2014. This year's Austria has Reinbacher and Rohrer, and the latter is sick and didn't play vs. Sweden. Besides these two, they are simply a team which should be playing one division lower and they are there just due to a bizarre chain of coincidence we all know about. It is possible the Czechs won't win anywhere near Sweden's 11-0, but I am pretty confident about they will win.
Bet he wishes he still had Svozil for a bit of helpBedard must feel right at home, dragging a team around
I get where he is coming from, cripes, games can swing at the junior level in the blink of an eye but hey, you can't win them all and how many wins in a row have we put up against the Czechs in this tournament anyway? sooner or later they are going to get a win against us and they haven't been in a position like this against us in ages here, sometimes the ship comes in you know?JJ's a great guy and very knowledgeable.
I know they did for sure in the ‘98 tournament. Can’t think of another. When was the last time canada lost the opening game?
at least we fugured out who our main goalie is
