I'm not sure what to make of Canada at the moment, I'll predict a 6-3 win.

Pavelec is the goalie coach for Czechs, he played junior hockey in Nova Scotia. If they had a game in Sydney (as in the 2003 tournament) I bet the crowd would get behind them provided they were not playing Canada.

Attempting to pronounce Cesko for any person not speaking a slav language is just going to sound insulting so I’m not going to try that.

Not really. Well, not in Ontario that I've heard. I've only heard of one alternative and it's just by those fringe minority lovers that use it to address Quebec. It's kind of like Kaybeck, but the K is a G

... Well, yeah, being a francophone myself, it sounds definitely like how I'd write it if I want an English-speaking person how to pronounce "Québec" as it should. Not sure how any of this works for other languages though.

Try pronouncing it according to this pronunciation. I know it will be quite difficult for people who don't have a Slavic background, I also won't pronounce some Swedish words correctly and I won't even try.

Does Canada get a punch in the nose tonight? Come out hard boys, it's the season of surprises.
 
Guenther has been atrocious but I really hope he plays tonight because that second line has to kick into gear ASAP. Too much skill to not be producing but they simply have to start finishing.
