U18: WJC U18 - Grand Forks, North Dakota (14th - 24rd April)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Feel bad for Russian fans, especially Yashukev, some of yall were trying very hard when the news came out to be objective and stay unbiased, it's appreciated. Now that some news is out and at least for now it seems there weren't grounds for what happened obviously yall are reasonably outraged, however, I feel bad that your patience and objectivity weren't rewarded and I'm thankful that (some of) yall waited for more information to come out before rushing to judgment.

And we almost made it 4:2 there.
 
I expected us to get steamrolled, but it looks like we're actually creating most of the scoring chances in the 3rd.

If we do win vs. Sweden, it will make things extremely interesting in terms of the relegation battle. Russia might easily end up in the last place. :laugh:
 
And the Swedes score on us just seconds before the final whistle. The exact same thing happened against Switzerland. Now again. Twice.

Welp, I guess we'll just have to beat Russia now, eh.

My best guess is that we will still lose the game vs Russia and USA and then we will lose vs Denmark... Ok, maybe we won't lose to Denmark as the team's are rather comparable and it will be interesting, but i don't think this game vs Sweden is indicative of anything, we were very lucky to stay in the game today.
But of course I would love to be completely wrong.

Great game by Latvia but this should not have happened.

Wasnt it after 2-1 he put the 3rd line on the PP? I may remember wrong. Kaos in the swedish team either way, so many lost pucks.
And Bagenda would be nice to have on the team.

Canada at these tournaments are just... weird. Seems like there is no game-plan or a well-thought of approach to this tournament. Yeah sure we're missing a lot of players, but this team has skill and should at least play as a team.
