It wasn't Fitz's best game, still he made plenty of excellent saves...There were just too many keystone cops moments in our zone. On the 4th Swede goal ( Think it was ) our boyz just quit skating and got caught watching the puck.

Our Boyz dominated for long stretches and maybe deserved a better fate...But both teams played their hearts out...

Congrats to Tre Kronors

I agree, he made some great saves today but our guys got caught snoozing in front of him far too much today.

He wasn't perfect but he wasn't the problem.

Fitzpatrick was terrible in that game. Hate to put the blame on a goalie but he was abysmal

That being said, Canada had their chances to win it once they tied it and didnt.

First goal was a crazy tip, 5th was only because he got crashed into (by his own guy) - he had made the save on that play. So, other than those you have 3 goals on 30+ shots...could he have had one or two of them? Possibly. Good shots but not impossible to stop. But Sweden's goalie didn't look great on every goal against, either (5-hole a-plenty + not even close to being square to the puck on our 4th goal). Canada lost that game as a team.

Concerning Puljujärvi's situation, here is an official statement from Team Finland's physician:

"I have examined Jesse's hand. The examination revealed nothing that hinted towards a fracture. Jesse is fit to play tomorrow."

Awesome, awesome and awesome :).

Late but whatever.. It was a really fun game. If that game isn't decided by shootout Canada probably wins, because we were attacking with one man all overtime.. On the plus side I didn't see a breakaway against(and barely odd man rushes either) the entire game, which is uncommon for us at this level. Most of Canada's goals were good individual efforts and not breakdowns, with the exception of 5-5.

Nylander and Lias Andersson were terrific I thought, same as Gustavsson in the net. But it's a team that hasn't relied on one line to do all the scoring, so that's good. We're pretty straight forward for a Swedish team, and use our defensemen well in the offensive zone. The guy I thought struggled was Moverare, he was so sluggish towards the end, perhaps tired.

I hope that there could be option to swap bronze and gold medal games. Now gold medal games starts 3 AM in Finland and 2 AM in Sweden instead of bronze game which is 11/10 PM. Would be win-win to play gold medal before bronze game so both games would be in primetime for teams' fans.

For tournaments like this it would make sense...

Cool I like that. Especially when no one is going to the games then it doesn't matter.

Denmark relegated after a 3-4 loss in the third relegation match against Latvia. Guess we will take the elevator up and down in the U18 in the years to come.

1 - 0 US after a terrible penalty from CAN, also that was a bad goal to give up.
Now 2 - 0 okay.

Still a lot of time left.

Why did this coach even give Skinner a chance after that one game? He's brutal, I'll be surprised to see him drafted.

Has Canada got any defence men who cover or hit? They are getting pushed around low and losing their coverage as if asleep.

Now Fitz allows a goal with some odor.

Canada played the late game yesterday and we usually don't get up for Bronze Medal games. It's clear the USA wants this more.
