Marko Tuulola, former hockey player and Finnish tv and radio commentator, got to witness both of his sons win gold in world junior championships. :handclap: First Joni at U-20 and now Eetu at U-18.

"Mä oon tehny parikymmentä/18vuotta sitten sen oman työn...sen fyysisen työn" - Marko Tuulola

I'll translate that for our fellow non-Finns:

"I've done my own work 18-20 years ago... That physical work."

:naughty:

Congratulations to Team Finland for the U-18 Gold. The Finns have some great young players, respect.

Congratulations Finland. Well deserved. It's an impressive amount of talent coming up in Finnish hockey now.

Pulju really hurted Sweden. I feel a bit scared myself :D Filthy good player with star-mentality. After winning the gold medal for Finland, I dont see him much worse than Laine. We Finns are lucky to have these kind of prospects coming from a small country.

I have some kind of sense that Pulju might have best work ethic and heart in the top 3 trio. Let's see how things play out, he might be real star potential after all.

Watched the replay of the game just now. Damn, I wish I could have seen it live.

Mighty impressive performance by the Finns, I didn't believe they could do it against USA and I didn't think they would be able to beat Sweden after they ousted the Canadians. About 25 years of watching Finnish teams come up short and finding new and exciting ways to let you down will do that to you I guess. Not used to the winning mentality shown by this new generation of players in recent years.

A bit sad to see some of the Swedish players acting pig like at the end there and letting their emotions get the better of them, you don't expect to see such behavior from Swedes, but hey, you have to remember they are only kid's after all, so it's understandable.

Puljujärvi is also a unique athlete in Finnish sports, always that big smile and playing with immense confidence. A real winner type character, he didn't mind people hacking away at his wrists all tournament long.

What happened?
