WJC SF: Jan 3 GDT - Russia vs. USA

All you Canadians cheering for Russia, would you really rather play them? With everyone saying Russia was the better team in this game it surprises me you want them to win so bad. Nothing Canadian/American about this, just really curious.

I thought that the Canadian fans were only rooting for the underdogs? I could have sworn that they Americans were the underdogs in this game.

Yes, Russia is the better team and the best thing for Canada would be for this game to go to OT. Therefore, the BC crowd will start cheering on the Americans to help their Canadian team.

At least this squad has the fire-power and explosiveness to (hopefully) come back from a 2-goal deficit. If Canada falls behind by 2 in the 3rd tomorrow against Russia, the Canucks might as well hang 'em up. Not necessarily the same for the States.

over-rated by the canadian media on purpose? probably. i hope whoever wins this game destroys canada in the final so everyone can stop talking about how overrated malkin/kessel/usa is and realize the most highly touted canadian in this tournament (toews) might as well have stayed at home the way he is playing
