Gonna be a tough game. Don't remember the last time when quarters were easy for Russia. This one might even go to OT.

Don't think I've ever predicted a score this year, unlike somebody else who keeps predicting Sweden to lose at every twist and turn.

But sure, Russia should win with something like 3-1. Slovakia has only ever won 2 quarter finals the last 15 years: 1 against a real meh US team, and 1 against the Czechs.

Based on the play of Slovakia and Russia so far, I can see it being an interesting game until the 3rd period when Russia runs away with it. Something like 5-2

No upset here, Russia's got this no doubt, don't know when Slovakia will be capable of an upset again.

I think this will be either a clear Russia win or a very close game for most of the game.

If we want to have any chance of winning it we need to score the first goal and we can't let the Russians get the lead early.

I think he was passed over for two straight years already. If he plays the rest of the tourney the way he did vs Canada, I'd guess someone's going to take a flier on him.

Slovaks and Czechs tend to play well against Russians. Can see a close game here if Slovaks can get the first goal.
Russian power play has not been good at all and special teams could be the difference maker in this one.
