Canada needs a few difference makers to step up, the forward depth has actually played pretty well so far but the Anderson-Dolan line and Frost/Hayton have been extremely quiet (although Leason has impressed) other than Frost's stat padding against the Danes. The Anderson-Dolan line in particular has done nothing even though Suzuki has been a wizard on the PP and should have more to add at even strength. I think getting Bowers back into a checking role and promoting one of Veleno, Lafreniere, or Studnicka could wake them up a little bit.
I won't hit much on the D because it's been discussed to death but our best players need to be our best players. Having McIsaac back will help, he's actually impressed me so far at this tournament relative to my expectations. Phillips is the odd guy out at this point IMO but of course Hunter/others won't see it that way.
Canada can't over-pass scoring chances trying to set up the perfect goal like they did against Russia. From the slot, get the puck on net and then get to the front of the net. Not to suggest they go full Carolina Hurricanes and fire every puck at the net from every angle, but I thought they passed up a couple good scoring chances trying to make an extra move and it bit them in the ass the other night.
