Yeah, not too many big stars on this squad compared to other years. Dipietro is going to have to continue to bail us out back there
We can only hope, but if Canada keeps giving up so many quality scoring chances, the goals are going to start coming for Finland for sure

Ray Ferraro is pronouncing Talvitie "Tal-vit-e-a". Is that the right pronunciation?

The identity of the Canadian team was supposed to be fast, quick, and skilled. I don't see that at all, that's when you know the coach is no good.

It's almost as if they shouldn't have given the head coaching job to a former Goon...

A hell of goalie, the rest of these guys do not look to me like they will ever make the show (I will reserve judgment on Lafrenière until he hits puberty)
Suzuki will likely be fine ( he's not the only one but as a Habs fan he's one of the more important ones)

Finland is full court pressing on the forecheck....

If Canada's strength is our D' being gifted on moving the puck...

Time to stretch the Finn's D' with a high long pass...

They are just channeling our D' to over-handle or push the puck up the wall...
Finland would be very vulnerable to that sort of thing with the way they are playing. Canada's defence need to stop trying to make a perfect pass and instead just get it out.

On paper all these guys are high draft picks and stars in their junior clubs.

Suzuki, Frost and Bouchard are arguably the 3 best players in the OHL.

Just hasn't come together at all.
Maybe Frost needs to be at C and Hayton at LW....just like in Jr for the Soo. Let the offense run thru him instead of dying on Hayton's stick.

Frost is really smart but doesnt look like the same player when the pace gets quicker. Really curious to see how he translates to the pros.

Damn the Finns are actually outskating Canada... Canada is not looking like they usually are in thess playoff games. Shades of 2014 here.

If they play in the 2nd, like they played in the 1st, I will not be watching the 3rd. It will simply not be worth my time.

I guess it depends on your definition of a blue chip prospect, but I don't think team Canada has a single blue chip prospect this year. Maybe Glass. That's going to result in an average team.
