Go Canada Go! I expect a strong response here. Tournament officially begins now and our defence of the Gold begins now.

This is definitely the closest contest out of the four quarterfinals. I would probably bet on Canada winning but wouldn't surprised me if Finland knocks them out.

I expect a little push by the Finns in the first period after the States handled them, then the Canadian boys overwhelm them in the 2nd and 3rd.

Finland wins. Won the scoring chances against States.

Gotta trust in Our Game and we win.

Scratch Bouchard plz. Hes been atrocious and bad in every regards of the game. He cost us the game vs the Russians with that weak ass 'effort' defensively.
I 2nd this lol.. would rather play with 6 d then have him on … or at the very least only let him play on the power play at point and that's it ::mad:

As the #1PPQB, he has 3 assists in 4 games. All 3 assists came against that powerhouse Denmark squad in their first game. He hasn't been a factor offensively since and he's a defensive liability. It's been a terrible tourney for this kid, I don't think Hunter has the balls to sit him anyway even if he wanted to. Bouchard was one of his horses he wanted to ride, gave him a letter too.

Canada has played two games against quality opponents and lost both. Finland in pre-tourney and Russia yesterday.

It will be awfully tough to win three straight against Finland, Sweden and US/Russia.

true but Sweden may not be 100% so if we can beat finland we may luck out in the semis and make the gold medal game..

I can't imagine Canada losing this game but I didn't think we would lose to Russia so...

It is never a positive for Canada to be bounced out of the QF. It will be embarrassing for this team to be bounced out of the QF on home soil. However, it could happen with Hunter behind the bench. Hard to believe this guy was the most qualified person to coach Canada.

lol he's not.. I dunno how he weaseled his way to head coach... and yea it would be embarrassing .

Classic.

If we lose it'll be because of our coach, not because the other team was good.

Canadians are so nice and humble! I wish I wasn't Canadian sometimes.

Don’t overreact. Canada has only been eliminated once in the quarterfinals the past 20 years. If they get bounced Wednesday there is rightfully going to be a lot of scrutiny about how this team was put together. None of which is a slight to Finland.

Game looks just as close as the quarter final in Helsinki two years ago. Im expecting a bloodbath but hopefully the Canadians get their s**t together and dont get bounced. The Finns havent looked as confident on the NA sized rink and have been beaten by an average and weaker Swedish team and an inconsistent but coordinated US team who was missing Jack Hughes.
