Terrible after the swiss goal. Bad mentality.

Not to make excuses for you guys, but I'm always nervous hearing about a team suffering from a communicable disease, flu in this case. Never know how many guys are playing through it.

Yeah, I hope it's just arrogance and they come out as a new team in the second period.

swiss plays with 6 players several times. Guess its a benefit of lesser nations, we see it al the time. you stink you get the call. to have the players calm.

Only idiots playing with flue or other medical conditions... not worth risking you're carrer because of 1 game of JWC

Makes up for the 20 seconds of PP time they played with 4 players :sarcasm:

That one at the end of the period definitely should have been too many men, the skater coming on intentionally deflected the puck with his skate while the guy going off wasn’t even touching the boards yet

This tourney is a huge event for these kids. The flu is hardly a threatening situation for extremely fit 19 year-olds.

You don't know what you talking about... heard of Myocarditis? thats what you get if you play or train while have a sickness in your body and im talking out of own experiance...

Finnish and Canadian refs...
First I laughed. Then I almost had to check it up. The Swiss can hug and play with 6 players at impunity, it seems. And when Sweden is penalized? Another rulebook invention. Weak as hell, what else is new? Sweden gripped the sticks too hard and were a little bit sluggish, but it sure helps to play with the help of the 6th man out there.

Let me guess, in the next 2 periods Sweden will have another rulebook invention, while 1-2 blatant penalties by Switzerland are ignored.

That is caused by a viral infection, not "exercising while sick". Lots of players play through illnesses, it usually impacts their game, but they can do it.

When is Lundeström, Zetterlund and Olofsson going to show up? They get lots of ice time but can't create any offense. Can't say I'm surprised either.

I expect the Swedish team has competent medical advice available to them, and would not risk their players' health. Don't know if your personal experience has much relevance here.

Mmmmm I would disagree. They play great hockey and have good results in this tourney lately but in terms of producing draft picks, they haven’t been anywhere near Czechs or Finns. Slovaks yes

On second thought you're probably right. However, I think the Swiss are so good now I wouldn't call it an upset if they beat any of the traditional contenders at international tourneys
