Congratulations to the Swedish team for playing the worst hockey game I've seen in decades. They somewhat realized they can actually pass a puck after 20 minutes. But after that, duuh, what do I do? They should've switched spots with Denmark, it would've been a more even competition in the QF. They do have the stomach flu going through the team and being coached by Montén, but still...

Also congratulations to the Swiss, they can always upset, they played a perfect game up to what they can perform, on a back-to-back, they just dominated this... team. A couple of very solid D-men, a bunch of garbage forwards with some outlier and a solid goalie.

Sweden hasn't lost a quarter final game in 12 years or something

Still, where are the gold medals that support their preliminary round record? Sweden got like only one in the recent years. It is a weird statistic and some call it a curse even.

I don't get why the Swiss coach was so mad though ? If the Swiss player did not touch it, the Swedes would have got possession of the puck and could organise an attack. Instead you get a face off at your blue line which is not ideal but still not very dangerous ? Plus there's a chance that you win the face off and kill off more time.

Seemed really odd to me.

Congrats Switzerland. Best team won, to be honest.

Incredibly disappointing performance, especially from our forwards. If you don't have the gamebreaking skill, you need to find other ways to be effective. They were both passive and lacked edge.

That was well deserved. Congrats Switzerland!

Oh and Sweden: avgå, alla! Especially you Montén.

Setting up your defense in the neutral zone is much better than an offensive zone faceoff.
