Congrats Switzerland! You will win this and Sweden dont deserve to win this game. Hope you win a medal.
Stop. 3 periods not 2. Your boys and coaches are in the dressing room right now, desperate to figure it out.

Why is everyone so eager to give up on their teams? I see this all over HF.

Those numbers are almost certainly wrong. No way Czech Republic has more players than Sweden, probably less than Finland as well.

Well, those are the official numbers. Czech Republic seems to be the odd one out as there are way more seniors than juniors (ratio seniors to juniors around 3, while it is usually way below 1 for the other "big nations"). So even though CZ has almost double the players compared to FIN and SWE, they have fewer Juniors compared to FIN and SWE (around 70%).

Because of the game image. The Swiss can play defensively and pressure all over the ice, while maybe one Swedish player out of the whole squad is showing he's in the game. When they connect 2 basic passes in a row, I might have a slight hope. Very slight. I think Denmark would've performed better in this game than Sweden so far, or at least be up on par.

I just saw a replay of the 2nd goal and I don't know if there's anything like challenges at the WJC, but on the clearing attempt from the Swedish D, Wyss seems to have touched the puck QUITE high.

The Swiss deserve full credit thus far. They’ve brought their best when it matters most through 2 periods.

Yupp nothing against Swiss and like i said before this match even started Switzerland has showed the world that they are climbing up in the system.

I remember those numbers being discussed on some Czech media and the conclusion was that numbers are simply not correct.

You wouldn't be able to challenge that in the NHL anyways. Nor do I think you should ever be able to. Where do you draw the line on how far back you can go in the play looking for any infraction to cancel out goals?

Yep, that was very probably a high stick and no, there is no possibility for a challenge there (yet).

They’ve always been a mid-major hockey power. They’re more than capable of upsets like this from time to time.

I don't see Sweden coming back.

Never count Sweden AKA Hannu Hanhi, AKA Gladstone Gander out.

You may recall what happened in SWE-USA. You're only down 2, not 4. Lots of time left.

Support your team, Swede bros!

When a Swedish team play this bad they usually continue through the game. If they played good and was two goals behind i would not say anything. I blame the sickness and slow coach.
