GDT: WJC Pre-Tournament Game #5:Dec 19 Canada Vs Switzerland

A lot of questions to be answered on the backend and in net yet it seems. I think the talent is there on defense to be better then this but needs to be utilized correctly....

I haven't been overly impressed with Dobson.

Me neither, he hasn’t been very good this year in junior either. Granted his team sucks but still.

He’s -30 through 28 games. Plus/minus has its flaws but seeing that still makes you pause.

Yea, he hasn't looked good IMO. There was a sequence earlier in the period where he was carrying the puck up through the d zone, and he wasn't paying attention and nearly got killed with an open ice hit. Being as big as he is probably saved him from gettin gkilled.

Tippett is so bad. Seems to constantly make the wrong play and looks around aimlessly in the defensive zone.

I thought he looked okay offensively, but that was brutally bad defense. that sort of play can't happen

For a guy who is supposed to be key for us I have been underwhelmed thus far.

Good hands on the PP goal but lost his man on one of the goals against I believe. Been good overall.

Well I think I counted 31 defense combos through 2 periods if you consider switching sides. Hunter is a moron, stick to pairs and playing the proper side, does he know nothing about breaking the puck out.

Yeah Tippett seems to have a nice shot and not much else. Never really wowed me either

First goal he mishandled the puck right to the guy in the slot who scored. Bouchard also go turned inside out on the 2nd PP which could have been a scoring chance against a team with more skill.

It wasn't just the play on the goal, there was that play not long before the goal where that swiss player just outbattled and outmuscled Dobson right off the puck and it led to a good swiss chance.

Inexcusable really, guy needs to pick it up.

His speed is not great .. He looked fine QBing the PP but he had a couple rough shifts as well
