I was actually thinking of doing the same thing the other day. However, I quickly nixed that idea as I don't think my fellow Ranger fans would appreciate it. :p

Yeah - he idolizes Vladimir Ilich just like me. I have several Lenin pictures in my room - they really bring out the socialist mood.

I agree on Montoya. I wasn't sure what we'd get with him after seeing him struggle this year but he has been solid.

I'm a Ranger fan too, I don't care man, Parise is awesome. It's either a Leetch USA or a Parise USA, and right now, Parise would be exciting :)

While his overall play has obviously been very good, I think his ability to play the puck (the Steen goal yesterday nonwithstanding) has been a really asset. I've watched a few of the other teams, and their goaltenders are HORRIBLE at playing the puck. That makes a differance IMO.

Here we go fot the 3nd period.
But i still believe we can beat anyone at the tournament.
All we need is to play more simple near our goal.
And put Ovechkin on the same line with Malkin. :teach:

Something is not clicking. Ishmatov problem is that he tries to spread the offense between 4 lines like in old Soviet school. Well, it does not give results so it needs to be changed. If Malkin is not on the same line with Ovechkin I would think Ishmatov is doing a very wrong thing. It sounds (according to what US comentator says) that Ovechkin tries to carry the puck into the zone, it is wrong. He can be a good passer but he is not a playmaker, he won't do it one on one.

Last year I really did not know for sure whether it was Ishmatov's coaching strategies or just very good players which allowed the team to win. It seems Ishmatov will get exposed this year with his inferior tactics and inability to make a TEAM out of group of players.
 
This is all the Russians here need to understand...
