It’s more than just those 3 missing, it’s like 6 players missing, basically top 2 lines

Entertaining game to start the tournament. Kind of wished that the Slovaks had a better fate this game but the Czechs were the better team and played like it for the most part.

Looking forward to more summer hockey.

This was quite crazy ending of the game. The last 7 minutes or so. Pity there were almost no fans in the arena, but I see: it's August, early game time over there in Edmonton.

Jiricek is the Czech player of the game? It was his stupid cross-check that gifted Slovakia their 3rd goal, and the Slovaks tied it with him still in the box. That negates whatever positives he brought afaic.

Of course wheeler tweets this, as if it’s supposed to be some insult. Guys like him play a big part in ensuring this tournament isn’t popular this year with all the self guikt they’ve heaped on those who want to watch and support the WJC. Get used to it too, it will only get worse
