The defensive deficiencies are there, but they've also been massively overblown in this tournament. He'll need to be more physical at the NHL level and way less riverboat gambler. And there have been a few glaring screw-ups to be sure, but most of the detractors mention how often he controls ice purely by how drives offense. No other defender has even come close to creating the way he has. He could easily have double the points in this tourny, but over a six-game sample pucks go in or they don't.The defensive deficiencies are probably the easiest fix. Size, offensive talent, cannon shot, and next level skating are much harder to teach than basic coverage.
In any case, they'll probably let him just go and be an offence first guy like his brother, and give him a more defensive partner to offset him. Not a big issue in my books.
Completely agree my HF Devils Sister. They’re amateur teenagers so that’s actually ok.
Swedens ability to clear the zone has been below par the entire tournament - it happened against czech the last minutes yesterday and it happened again now. Anti clutch.
I think the refs reviewed it on their ownWait... No penalty on the failed challenge?
