way around on the 3-2 goalIt was a bad decision to follow through given how IIHF refs dont give 2 shits what time of the game it is but that was a soft call
Agreed. I wonder if they just built a team from say, the Knights, the Silvertips and the Wildcats (the top teams in CHL per league), would they have gotten a better result just due to built-in chemistry? What a disappointment. Absolute low point for hockey Canada the last few years ...
I think they need to restructure their strategy top to bottom starting with whoever built this team.
Also maybe a practice or two next time to build some chemistry would be nice.
Probably but put himself in a position to get a call on a useless hit. On the whole, a very undisplined effort. You could almost bet the final blow would result from taking a penalty. It was a bad decision to follow through given how IIHF refs dont give 2 shits what time of the game it is but that was a soft call
Nepotism produces bad results! It's incredible that 26 years after the 1998 Olympics we still see Canada losing tournaments for the exact same reasons.
Terrible roster selection, terrible coaching, terrible preparation.

How would that work though? USNTDP plays in the USHL and is a feeder for NCAA.Time for a CNTDP
No idea, just saying it would be nice if you could have one playing in the OHL or something. NCAA eligibility no longer an issue, but I bet CHL teams would fight against it.How would that work though? USNTDP plays in the USHL and is a feeder for NCAA.
