Willander is so good at breaking the puck out while under pressure and looking calm doing it. His defense off the rush is also excellent. Very excited to see him in Vancouver at the end of the season. The Canucks are really lacking a D man who fits Willander’s profile.

Transition game should be improved massively with Hughes, Hronek, Willander + another puck mover on the backend.

For sure, he looks good in transition/moving the puck out but he keeps bobbling it on the power play, not sure that end will ever really come together for him. Feeling like Chris Tanev is really his upside

Much better point shot than Tanev. That alone should earn him some points. But I agree, offense is limited with this player.

Anyone know how to watch from the US? I have a Rogers (formerly Shaw) Ignite account but it’s region blocked.

Mynio has looked really solid. Had an incredible burst through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone trying to get through several US defenders and was stopped. US had a breakout the other way and Mynio comes speeding back and comes back into play. Also had a 1 on 1 with Hagens coming in and Mynio boxed him out to the side for a low percentage shot that missed the net all in a single shift.

His activation is incredible to watch. He just generates a ton of speed and momentum within a couple of strides.

Also looks like Gibson is now the 7th d? in rotation as Price and Mynio are paired for consecutive shifts.

Weak officiating.

It’s like the refs misses a call, but then they have to make up for that missed call by calling a weak call.

Mynio starting to get more shifts. High percentage save player so far for a bottom pairing guy (on this team). He's doing what he was probably asked to do. Keep things safe, but so far he looks good, and I think the coaches are starting to notice. Safe player.

Canada starting to pick things up though.

Gibson looks very bad and I’m not sure how he made the team

Mynio takes a "penalty" and USA scores on the PP.

Could Mynio join the likes of the great Canuck prospect scapegoats, Virtanen and Diepietro, that played for team Canada? Or will Canada find the equalizer?

Easton Cowan just saved Mynio from becoming the scapegoat

On forward: McKenna, Catton, and Nadeau all look great

On D: Price, Mynio, and Bonk have stood out positively

Biggest surprise so far is how awful Dickinson looks

USA hockey is probably better at producing and developing talent than hockey canada, at this point. USA has a stronger olympic roster, too.
disagree actually. We left off some decent players on top of that, the wrong players tonight got more ice time than they deserved.

Easton Cowan if he was a Canuck draft pick, he be the most hated man in Canada right about now, but hes a leafs prospect so they wont' throw him under the bus for his stupid plays that cost his team a chance at winning.

Mynio looked ok. His ice time got slashed because the team was too busy chasing a lead. Overall I thought he looked good. Generated 2 good scoring chances for us despite the low ice time.

one last chance for Canada.
