For more context, Willander at the combine was ~ the same size as Juulsen was at the combine in his draft year.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect him to play most of his pro career above 200lbs.
now why would i want to imagine that!?

Some of you are putting way too much stalk into games against mid to lower tier CHL players.
I actually wasn't that impressed today by either ASP or Willander. Basically an easy walk in the park type game with a bunch of gallery passing and shooting on the PP against slow defenders who backed in.
It was nice to see their higher end skills that made them high picks and certainly they did enough to get the win and some points but neither were or had to be in top form and play with assertiveness defensively.
Willander hasn't looked as physical in the cycle or at sealing the boards in the tourney but i fully expect (even Button referenced this) today that as the games ramp up against better competition with more at stake so will his physical play

Yup, I've mentioned this before - top-pairing defenders who don't get a 'PP bump' are the best-value players in the NHL relative to the salary cap.
Rarely mentioned but Mikey Anderson is a great example of this.

haha i was just looking at his contract details and numbers as a comparable for Fehervary. I've been wondering about what Washington might do if they try and sign Chychrun...perhaps either Fehervary or Sandin shake loose.
I don’t think they’d be in a hurry to move either. Especially with Fehervary being under contract next season at 2.68m. Maybe the season afterwards.

Johnson should stop being a homer..that was a late cross check and he's been playing on the edge all game which is why they probably called it

It’s all Dave Cameron , I don’t like him as the head coach and I’ve never liked him as a coach going back to 2011 when Canada collapsed in the World Junior Final and blew a 3-0 lead in the 3rd period and losses to Russia .
They just look so unprepared , there plays are so predictable, they are not hustling and are not playing dominant at all with a team with this much talent it should be 5-0 right now .
It all starts with the coaching and Dave Cameron is a terrible coach .
I will never understand why team Canada likes him so much when it should be Dale Hunter coaching this team

I have barely noticed him which I guess is good? I seen enough of Gibson to know he absolutely sucks.
Hes been fine. Just safe and steady. Bonk is doing way better today. Dickinson has been brutal other than a couple hard shots. Price has been my favourite overall D this tourney for Canada

Yes the players have to take responsibility too but he left out some size speed and skill that could help and is not getting disciplined play the kind of forecheck and net presence that you need to make teams like Latvia and Germany make mistakes.
His interview after the Latvia game was embarrassing.
Way too much free lancing on the attack and low percentage plays. Other than Cowan Luchanko and Mckenna is anybody good at getting on pucks hard and fast
Yager who i really liked in his draft year has looked really poor as have others
