Without Russia, the WJC should be reduced to 5 teams

So Russian hockey teenagers need to be banned because of Putin's actions, but should Bedard and the lads be banned because Hockey Canada operates a slush fund to cover up gang rape committed hockey players?

(sorry, is this more "whataboutism")?

You're comparing Apples to something close to a Tesla there. If Hockey Canada was operating a platform that enabled it's athletes to get a competitive advantage due to PED's or something of that nature, then the answer is yes.

Babies, children, girls and women are being raped by Russian soldiers en masse, with the Kremlin cheering them on. And most of those 'Russian hockey teenagers' being in favor of that.

You just have no clue.

you got me curious, care to substantiate it with som link? i mean they are in favor of putin's special operation, don't bother with in favor of babies, children, girls and women being raped by Russian soldiers en masse.

Russia had and likely still has, state sponsored doping programs. That's has very little relation to the stupidity of the stuff going on with Hockey Canada, and is also at a much higher, broader level across all sports.

You're out here blaming a bunch of hockey boys that are subject to state-sponsored media propaganda from a dictatorship, someone has no clue and it sure isn't me.

Hockey Canada itself is the bad actor, and Hockey Canada is also the one that is the governing body for entry into this competition.

Russia got banned by the IOC for state-sponsored doping in connection with the Sochi Olympics. Russia is not banned from IIHF competition because of state-sponsored doping in connection with the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

I'm not in Vancouver i can't sit on a couch and blabber away without a care in the world. If i were to say everything i think of the regime in social media, you would be in shock and i would be in jail.

Russia shouldn't have been banned from the IIHF. It should take something crazy like, idk, blowing up a nuclear power plant under your control and blaming it on the country you're invading for countries to be banned from the IIHF.
