Winter Classic Logos Unofficially Revealed

Hopefully the Sabres adopt those unis as their full-time jerseys. Their current look is boring with the darker colors. And someone with good taste decided not to have the silly jersey numbers on the right shoulder of the Winter Classic unis.

The ice is usually shitty. I mean the NHL does the best they can in the circumstances, but the ice is far shittier than any rink in the NHL. Typically the quality of hockey in most outdoor games is crap.

To me they are less interesting than normal regular season games, cause the hockey is bad.

It would have maintained a bit more relevance had the league limited it to 1 game a season and expanded the team pool.

But they totally overdid it and have limited it to a handful of the same old teams.

Also the lack of ice quality hurts the flow of play.

New York State brawl. Probably seemed like a solid game if the Sabres took a step forward this season, not like they announced the teams today.


As for the WC itself, I'll watch it. I enjoy it. I don't understand the complaining about it, I agree that lack of variety of teams is a little disappointing but some people need to take shit to another level sometimes I guess.
 
The current Sabres jerseys are still better. Not sure what people are seeing with those WC jerseys. They're okay but nothing special.

The WC NYR logo is pretty amateurish, though.... so agreed there.

They’re seeing the Sabres colors the way they’re meant to be.

This isn’t that difficult.

1. Because unlike most cities in this league Buffalo actually watches hockey even with a bad team.

2. It’s the ten year anniversary of the first WC. In Buffalo.

3. Someone had to agree to move a home game and they obviously did.

Is...is that enough? Do you need more?

Love the Sabres one
As for the Rangers one, I have mixed feelings about it. The font and size of the Rangers letters looks weird and those collars are brutal. Other than that, it’s pretty much the Rangers current sweaters with dark blue. Was hoping for the Liberty’s to make a comeback and there was a lot of talk of it actually happening.
 
I adore those NYR jerseys, colors and everything. Definitely getting a Buchnevich one. My first jersey purchase since last winter classic so I think I'm due.
 
I did not look forward to the NYR jersey because I thought that bland logo would be the main crest.. Glad I was pleasantly surprised. I actually like it a lot. It's nothing earth shattering but I expected some horror. So this is actually great.
 
Man, I never knew hockey fans were such wet blankets. The only thing I'd criticize the WC for would be having the same teams too often. Never become baseball fans, you'd hate the nickname events and culture appreciation nights they have.
