NJ Devils STH
Including the Statue of Liberty, an object that sits in the New Jersey waters of the Hudson Bay, is a nice little homage to the greater NY market

Nope about 5% of fans still haven't realized that this event has lost its luster. The NHL has beaten this horse into mush....no idea why these events have any merit anymore whatsoever. They are boring as ****, but they make the NHL money...sooo.....
Oh yes, the best is actually being at the game where you're cold, can't see the game and resort to talking to pass the time....

The island is act in NY State despite being completely surrounded by NJ.
A Buffalo Sabres home game in Queens. Nice.
Well and the statue is owned by the federal government so the whole point is mute. I just wanted to get a rise out of a Ranger fan and Machinehead couldn't resist![]()
Do people still care about the winter classic?
Well I do.
It's one of the cooler events the NHL has made within the last 20 years and it still hasn't lost its luster for me.
I always wonder why people complain about the event itself like this. Do people really wish that there would be nothing within the season besides just normal games? I'd rather watch an event like this than there to be nothing to look forward to but the playoffs. It's not like normal games remain just as exciting from the start of the season as they do until the end.

The thing is unless your team is playing in it it is a normal game. And half the teams that have been in one have been in quite a few so for those fan bases it isn't even that unique.
