It's really insane. Chicago has played 7 outdoor games between the Winter Classic and Stadium Series which, who the f*** knows the difference? And then there's the Heritage Classic that also waters down the "wow" factor of an outdoor game. Penguins have played 6. Rangers have played in 6 and are scheduled to play their 7th. Bruins have played 5 and are scheduled to play their 6th.I don't like how the NHL just recycles the same handful of teams for outdoor games. Just do some new teams FFS.
No one likes watching Chicago lose every year at an outdoor game. I like the Rangers, but stop having them all the time. I know it draws eyes b/c of the fanbase size, but it gets old.
Jan 2 is good because they ain't getting up on Jan 1 after a night of partying on south beach
A recruiting event disguised as a party. 4D chess.Bro, but imagine signing for a siiiick O6 team with their own DJ to chop it up in south beach before playing a nationally televised outdoor game. That’s some Skibidi f***ing sigma mew my face off not Ohio, dog water for sure bro. We will be signing all the big time UFAs now.

It worked well if you like to see hockey players skate on a melting pond. They had one in Vagus in September over 30 years ago with temps in the 80s. It seemed to work well when I watched a rerun of it.
