Can't wait to watch a game with terrible camera angles. At least it is against Florida, who has a terrible angle in their regular arena anyway.

Cool. I know the outdoor games have been overdone and are extremely hit or miss (mostly miss) but at least it’s a different matchup than the usual recycled crap and it’s my team so I’ll have a reason to tune in. I didn’t even attempt to watch this year because there was literally nothing to entice me. At least with this it’s my team and an actual competitive team. Chicago vs St. Louis never even piqued any interest.

Hopefully we come up with a good sweater. Or Florida does and I’ll get a sweet Tkachuk one and hang it in my house as a tribute to the player I most wish the Rangers had acquired in the entire league.

Someone recently said they should stop doing the winter classic and make the ASG and Skills Comp an outdoor event. I think that would actually be the best idea.

Miami still reaches the mid-70's in January, so this seems prudent.

Utility bill for January 2026 isn't being paid by the Marlins I can guarantee that.

Didnt they do some outdoor games at Dodger stadium? It was like 50 yesterday on the west coast of Florida where my parents live.

How difficult to get are tickets to something like this?
Considering transplants and Panthers fans, it will be tough.

As for the weather, I think the warmest it will be is maybe around 70, but it'll most likely be in the low-mid 60s at night. With no sun, it'll be plenty cold enough. Watching the game should be awesome, it'll be close to the same temperature as it is in most buildings, so no frigid conditions.

I think G4 Mets/Phillies was similar conditions to how it is in Miami today. Went in a long sleeve shirt and jeans. Should be a good experience for most people.

I don't like how the NHL just recycles the same handful of teams for outdoor games. Just do some new teams FFS.

No one likes watching Chicago lose every year at an outdoor game. I like the Rangers, but stop having them all the time. I know it draws eyes b/c of the fanbase size, but it gets old.

I think the NHL thought this would be a big rivalry for years. Turns out it's just a bloodletting.

Rangers need to make it one and I welcome the challenge. This game screams national embarrassment though. Maybe we need to lose an outdoor game to break the curse?

Am I the only one that couldn’t care less about outdoor games?
Nope. There should only be 2 a year. And if they really wanted to do it right, play it on a real frozen pond. There are plenty that get cold enough and are big enough to have boards put up with zambonis and bleachers. It would be small, but it would be much cooler. Pun intended.
