Yeah I know. He said earlier "live from the Bell MTS center". Yes, you're at that arena, the game is not.
It's a sponsorship thing. They are the Jets home announcers and they likely have been instructed to say MTS as many times as possible to get the arena sponsors' money's worth. Everything in the NHL is a commercial now.

So far Simmonds has done what he was brought in for, being a fourth line bang and crash enforcer. He won’t give you much else but if he does, great.

Brodie was brought in to be a top pairing D and after a rocky two games he seems to be settling, and what he brings value wise is so much more than what Simmonds does at this stage of their careers.

Anyone saying Simmonds has brought more to the Leafs than Brodie is a knucklehead. I don’t know why they’re being pitted against each other anyway, they play different positions.

Wayne Simmonds making a bigger impact then Brodie? Are Leaf fans drunk. Like all of them on twitter lol
Simmonds says he's in the best shape he's been in for years, without any injuries too. He's big and gritty and has somewhat decent hands, I'm excited to see him get a few more minutes

Just wait until they go full NFL.

Given the amount of games Simmonds has played in the last year, his injuries and his place on the 4th line, I expect his impact will increase as the year goes on. But to be considered more valuable than Brodie...:eek:o_O:help::laugh:

Me too... Doesn't mean he will make as big of an impact as Brodie or be as important for us.

Brodie is much more important dor us and expected to contribute a lot more to us (why he got a bigger/longer contract). Simmonds fills a need for the Leafs, but Brodie fits a bigger need.
