Why are people bringing up 2012 or even last years team ? This is not the same team. The Kings lost two 20 + minute eating defenders. RR is also out.

With Voynov a giant question mark until late March, don't count on it. He's hung an anchor around this team. Cap relief or no, DL can't make real moves with the possibility of Voynov returning and no team is going to accept his contract without knowing he's coming back.

McBain is scratched tonight and Schultz probably goes back to the farm when Regehr comes back. Our defense was serviceable until Regehr got hurt. I think we will be ok, maybe a move gets made to get a 2nd pairing guy in here but we will have to wait and see.

It's time to make a move Dean. Time to 'break up the band' per se. Bring in some new blood, because this team has the 'ehhh, whatever' attitude in full mode.

Kings will make the playoffs. Doesn't make the present any more tolerable though.
