Expecting to see a very good, pissed off and embarrassed Leafs team tonight and they will end the Jets streak.

The team is playing well, the regular season only win streak cross multiple seasons isn't a big one for me haha

Like most fans, will trade it all to be playing jockey in May. Hopefully this can at least be a start to that!

My fear too!

It was mentioned in the Toronto Sun yesterday asking why the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are selling out, but the Jets are struggling to get fans. Why is this when both teams are playing well?
One team is a championship contender nearing playoff time, the other one is a playoff failure but a contender for a fake regular season record.

One plays in a nice suburb, one plays in the middle of shithole downtown

Bombers tix are $20. Jets are $200

The stadium where the Bombers play is literally in the worst possible location. There is one road going out.

I won't go to Bombers games because of the location.

Leafs have not won in a week, Jets might be due for a loss so maybe WPG's first loss will be on Monday? We'll see.
As a Jet fan I think this is very possible. Also the Leafs have had the Jets number for years. Add the fact that all teams playing against the Jets are now very motivated to be the team to stop the "streak". Jets will only see teams playing at the top of their game going forward until this streak is over.

The Jets will lose a game in the near future.
It could be tonight, or Wednesday or Friday or whenever.
Hockey is the sport most effected by luck of the big 4 and there's a reason that teams don't often win this many in a row.

I wouldn't be surprised when they do lose that it's in spectacular fashion (a blowout).
I'm more worried about the next streak and maintaining a strong W-L record going forward then any single or double season record.

It's October, how any team is playing now will have zero effect come next spring.
The only thing that matters is the points that are being accumulated.
Those can't be taken away and they directly relate to our potential seeding for the playoffs.

The rest of it is just noise, a fun distraction for fans.

The Jets ability to come from behind and winning after giving up the first goal (or a lead) is what is most impressive thus far.

We'll see. They should have been pissed off against the Blues and against the Bruins. The efforts have consistently been better but not to the level of the first 6 games.

If anything, it seems the Leafs play the Jets well and that is why I expect the win

Win streak good enough to fill seats in the arena yet or what ?

Jets are even worse than the Leafs with the playoffs. Last 3 years they missed, out in 5, out in 5 both in embarrassing fashion.

Their fans probably the same as ours, who cares about October wins

The leaf’s make money hand over fist. And sell out. Same with the much small market in Edmonton. Jets had a great season last year and still couldn’t fill the seats.

If ONLY a Cup is what will get butts in Seats, then the viability of that market is in question. The Jets are a well-run franchise that consistently wins. Imagine if they ever hit the basement in a rebuild, if they can’t support the jets now, how will they support them when they eventually become average or worse. Unfortunate cause I was pulling for the Jets to be a viable Canadian market. They are proving me and everyone who supported them wrong though.
