What "Atlanta core" they played a few months together there. Buff and Ladd were from Chicago and played one season in Atlanta kind of like Hainsey here. Wheeler was a Bruin and was only in Atlanta for 23 games just like Stemp or Jiri for the Jets.

Sorry but they may have been assembled briefly in Atlanta but its a lazy narrative to assume somehow they picked up some stink in Atlanta (not saying that is your intent but it has bounced around here since day 1)? They are the Jets 2.0 core through and through. Sadly 6 or 7 years from now we may look back and say they were our best core and we hung them out to dry.

I don't want to get off topic into tank talk here. But I think most of us, including the team knew this was the season defining road trip. We needed a good 5-0, 4-1, 3-1-1 type trip. Going .500 or below on this trip is about as season ending as it gets. Hopefully management has a plan together for when they get back to the Peg.

I think the season defining road trip was back in November when we dumped 4 in a row.

You obviously don't understand how coaches work. Armia has been doing exactly the things Maurice has asked of him. Ehlers has not. The message is to number 27. Will he hear it?

It's not about shaking his confidence, what's to be gained from throwing him into this wreckage? He played last night.

I actually believe switching goalies would send a message to the players that the coaches want to win the game and possibly still make the playoffs. Leaving Hutch in there is basically signaling to every player you don't care about the playoffs, which in the long run is a terrible message to send to the players from the organization.
