Yeah.

I'll say this much as a gambling man -- even though I'd have likely lost, I wish I had money on this game. These are the roller-coaster rides we do what we do for.

Sadistic side of me saw the Redblacks money line at half and thought about throwing $100 on it. Wish I did. Bombers heads weren’t in this one for a good chunk of the game. Felt like they were going through the motions.

Not even mad. The Bombers needed a wake up call.

I'm only disappointed that Ottawa made a clearly bad choice when they won the coin toss, got rewarded, and so "narrative" gets the W and "rudimentary football analytics" gets kicked in the nuts again, because the latter never gets credit for wins and only gets albatrosses for Ls.

This game would have been perfect for the ol' "Irish Hedge" (named after the people who got off the Titanic at Cobh). Play the favorite until victory is nearly certain, then cash out and/or load up on the dog.

O'Shea already doing his damage control and making into a learning experience. That's good. The kicker was on the ball, the captain is steadying the wheel. I like it.

Make no mistake about it the league loved tonight's outcome

I've lost chess games before where I had a big edge, but overlooked my opponent having some absolutely nuclear combination that came like an RKO out of nowhere. Losing like that way, where you still have a mountain of positives to take away? The CJOB guys are clearly stirring the pot but f*** 'em.

Good on ya, Bobby. I'm glad Crum got a speck on confidence - he looks Fajardo level but maybe there's more there.

Not going to lie... I started cheering for Ottawa - the bombers need to stop playing like an entitled team. Hopefully this is the kickstart.

Bombers could have locked that game down at any time they wanted - this one is on Osh and Hall - no one else.

Richie Hall's prevent D when we have a lead is a game-killer - its always been like that... DL starts getting tired from basically 'dominating' but they're still getting tired... its fine as long as the opposition doesn't get a lucky break - but they always do haha

Osh gonna Osh - Jesse fkn Briggs out there as WIL in overtime... I mean wow. Kolankowski is becoming a legit problem on the OL. But Osh believes in Canadians and 'next man up' - and refuses to maximize his roster... paid for it tonight.

WIL really is becoming an issue - Hall relies on pressure/contain from his WIL while his MLB covers - I haven't seen enough speed from Clements or anyone to cover for Hall's soft zone

ST looking good - Cole is a burner, would like to see him get reps at WIL.

Other - Fun to see Lawson really in the mix and performing. Exume was a good pick up. Prukop gimmick plays are a waste of time.

There are drops and miscues every game... Winnipeg didn't win a game where the fkn GM of the opposition took a penalty - at the end of the day, that can't happen.

Argos, BC have the killer instinct... Bombers have not shown that at all this season - guess we will see...

this game was 100% on the offense, when ever we go up we just seem to take the foot off the gas, those runs/short passes on first down absolutely killed us in the second half

Even though the Bombers had a pretty big lead you didn't get the feeling that the team was playing that good, couple of unfortunate turnovers and the defense completely shitting the bed and you lose a game that most had banked 2 points

Well said, my man. I like the chances of our team calibrating between now and then, and hey, if this game results in PlayNow lengthening the odds on the Bombers winning the Grey Cup, then it was only for the best :)

I was glad for Ottawa and their fans. The league needs quarterbacks and after the last couple of days it looks like things aren't as bleak in that department as they were looking. The Bombers will be fine. They need a challenge. It's better they realize they have to "work for it" now vs. in the Grey Cup game.

If this builds the team so they don’t lose focus later in the year during games even when they’re winning all the merrier. You’d think with a veteran team they’d know better but it’s not a bad thing, they have had lots of success and adversity needs to be experienced some times again

I’d rather have a season that wasn’t all roses but win the cup like 2019 than have an amazing season and lose by one point in the most important game like last year

CJOB post game show AGAIN, for like the fifth time, using actual statistical analytics in their post-game show. They may be muckrakers, but god bless 'em for being somewhere at or near the vanguard.

I'm glad for the Ottawa fans *who stayed*, yeah :) The ones that left early to beat the traffic? f*** 'em. May their shame haunt them forever.

I recall Vernon Adams and the Als with a ridiculous comeback win against the Bombers in 2019 before the Grey Cup drought was busted. They can bounce back and I’m sure they will. But they have some things to clean up.
They need to take a hard look at the offensive line, they were getting smacked around again today. Staying loyal to some players will get Osh in trouble

Bombers fans, I have a question:

Whose name and number should I get on the back of my late-birthday-gift Bombers jersey?

I've got it narrowed down to two:

1. Castillo #41, because A. no one ever shows kickers any love, B. being a contrarian is kind of my thing, C. I've got a history among my friends of being said contrarian enough to actually cheer for the kickers, and D. he really is an unsung hero on this team, as we found out last year >.<

2. Oliveira #20, because A. he's a completely goddamn awesome human being and B. despite people drawing attention to him for how awesome his is for his pet rescues, he's too humble (the bastard) to acknowledge it.

You’re new to the CFL

Castillo wears 14 ……..:sarcasm:

Is Crum an accountant? :sarcasm: Seriously, good for him. Happy for the kid.

Remember, Bomber losses are good for the league. This dynasty shit was getting old. They helped a struggling Ottawa team this week and hopefully next week, they will help a struggling Elkimos team get their first win.

I remember walking out to the car once, decades ago, when the Bombers were down 14 or 17 or something with 2 minutes left and hearing one huge roaring cheer ... then, a minute later, another one ... never made that mistake again.

Google has betrayed me >.<

Not me ……..
