Great company though. 100% Winnipeg owned and operated too. Used to work for them in another life…Can't say I love that new name...

Can't wait for the 'Are you some kind of princess' ads...Great company though. 100% Winnipeg owned and operated too. Used to work for them in another life…
I don’t know what Hustler was talking about saying this was the only locally-based company putting names on football stadiums. Save-On-Foods (BC), The Brick (Edmonton), and Tim Hortons (Hamilton…well, it was founded there, with HQ now in Toronto) are other local companies sponsoring stadiums in their hometowns.
The dread pirate Charles RobertsNow that we have Princess Stadium...
Maybe we can get SirVincent Rogers to come out of retirement... ?
And of course CanadInns Stadium locally.
Understandably people don't love corporate naming rights for stadiums, but I will say, at least in Winnipeg our venues have corporate names that have an obvious tie to the community as opposed to some super generic "could be anywhere" names. We've had MTS, IG, Princess Auto, Canwest Global, Canada Life, etc. as opposed to Pepsi, Budweiser, Rogers.
The Pas Tailgate parties would be wild.Princess Auto Stadium... so we watching the Bombers play at the PAS?
Good. Don't assume everyone in Winnipeg is a fan of the Bombers or Jets. Taxpayer funded public sector should not be cheerleaders. Likewise, they can ho-ho-hold any references to celebrating Xmas.Apparently soon Winnipeg Transit buses will no longer display Grey Cup championships or Jets playoff messages.
I was hoping for Princess Auto Place (the PAP)Princess Auto Stadium... so we watching the Bombers play at the PAS?
Let’s butcher the name of that town, plus some other communities at the same time. The Pas Tailgate parties would be wild.

Love Princess Auto. The Big Blue be bing'in the Power Fist all season long.I was hoping for Princess Auto Place (the PAP)
The new Green Drop will just be a giant fist...
I feel like Princess Auto and the Bombers missed a massive branding opportunity there. Could you imagine having that logo at centre field?!?!
This statement right here is a sad commentary on today’s society.Good. Don't assume everyone in Winnipeg is a fan of the Bombers or Jets. Taxpayer funded public sector should not be cheerleaders. Likewise, they can ho-ho-hold any references to celebrating Xmas.

The public works committee, acting on a recommendation from the Lord Selkirk-West Kildonan community committee, had asked city staff to consider expanding the list to recognize major cultural and religious holidays like Diwali, Christmas and Lunar New Year.
Instead, transit officials suggested a different route — eliminating promotional messaging altogether.
It can be troublesome when your waiting for the bus. I don't have a strong opinion, but if your trying to see the numbers, they say it can take 2.5 seconds. As the bus I'd approaching at busy stops that's all the time you might have to see.Boo!
I'm a Jets fan living in Edmonton. I hate the Oilers. But I live in Edmonton, so I am offended not in the slightest when local busses have messages like "Go Oilers Go" on them. It just goes with the territory.
The article gives away the real reason:
Which is terrible. Why not also have messages for Diwali, Lunar New Year, Eid al-Fitr, Yom Kippur (and yes also Christmas and Easter)? The messages cycle through pretty quickly, so it's no issue to also see what the bus number is.
