Red Wings never really had any dangerous chances until the 3rd period, but that I attribute more to Sharks fatigue. Also the Sharks obviously pressed less and took less risks after the second goal which meant more Wings possession.

Three commanding wins in a row.

Having Pavs run the third is the recipe for success, it's what got the team to the conference finals the last time. And Gomez as a fourth line center is about as good as it gets in the league. At least, if you want to create an offensive fourth line.

Sheppard is a really good 3rd liner already, but the fact that we have a 1st line wing/2nd line C centering the third line and a 2nd line tweener/3rd line center playing on the fourth line is great depth. He's also playing with Gomez on the fourth line so technically we don't even run a traditional checking line anymore.

No one is getting fourth line minutes anymore either. No point in messing with a lineup that is producing.
