I think both have a big hill to climb in terms of showing they can hold up to NHL physicality.

Ammo has NHL level creativity IMO. His point production in the AHL does show some promise. Buch is a total wild card if you ask me, no telling what if anything the Wings will get from him.
Meh, I don't think Buch is any less risky or less projectable than Lombardi. In both cases you are looking at undersized skilled players. I think Lombardi maybe skates a bit better and that Buch has show a stronger offensive IQ for a longer period.

I like Lombardi a lot as a prospect, but have a hard time seeing him make this roster next year even if Buch stays in Europe. I think Mazur, MBN and Danielson all hit earlier. Mazur should be up tomorrow if we are being honest.

I fully agree. If we aren’t making a trade to upgrade the bottom 6 then Mazur needs to be up. He’s a great 11/12/13 forward option right now.

Didn't Buchelnikov just win a fastest skater contest at some Russian all star event?

Some people haven’t updated their scouting reports since he was drafted.
Some people are just more impressed with Lombardi's overall skating and motor and don't put stock in stupid skating exhibitions. But hey, this is the binary world of HFboards where if you say that someone is slightly better, it means that the other is necessarily bad.

You probably never seen Buchelnikov skating. There is reason why he is one of the best , or the best in KHL in take aways. I haven't seen Lombardi this season, but I know he is one of the best GR skater.
Will be nice to have them on the same line , centering by Kasper, who brings physicality to the line

No, I haven't seen a ton of him (maybe three or four total periods this year). At no point did I call him a below average player or suggest that his skating is going to somehow hold him back. I didn't even call Lombardi a significantly better skater.

Lombardi does not skate better than Buch. Buch is one of the best skaters in the entire KHL. And there’s stats to prove it. Not trying to dog on you but I’m just saying that Buch is an amazing skater and it’s one of his biggest strong suits.

Have to be happy with Plante's season so far. Not sure if it includes his assist from tonight, but according to EP he's leading the NCAA in points per game for U19 players with 22 points in 19 games. Haven't watched many of his college games but when he played for USA he was solid.

Ho hum game from Cleveland last night. Super good crowd and atmosphere but a choppy game with a lot of penalties. Oddly I think he looked better with the the puck than he did defensively, where he tried to force things a bit too much at time in defending forward. He wasn't on top of the play as much last night. He also got turned on two rushes, which is something I haven't see him struggle with. The puck skills and puck movement looks better in the flesh. The three or four times he rushed the puck he looked totally fine.

Fisher Scott was very engaged. He has gotten better as the season has gone on. He always looks a little better than I expect him to. He does a lot of things reasonably well without being elite I think some additional strength would do the kid wonders and am excited to see what he looks like in his junior year. He does seem to have a good feel for the game and plays with confidence.
